Welcome to the barnyard!

We purchased about 30 laying hens and a couple roosters this past spring.   The roosters are just learning to crow and the laying hens are just beginning to lay eggs!

We have two female goats that can cause quite a racket at times - they definitely like alot of attention.  We added a climbing playground for them in 2007 and it's where they spend most of their time. 

Earlier this summer, after a late evening of planting pumpkin seed, we heard meowing as we were passing by the barn.  In the moonlight we could see several little furry creatures climbing all over each other.  A flashlight revealed 4 baby kittens.  We didn't even know our barn cat was going to be a mama!
